Eva Coleman


I am a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist with thirty years of experience in the therapy field. I have worked in private practice, and set up and directed a counselling and therapy service for women in Brighton and Hove ( Threshold Women's Counselling).I have worked in a medium secure hospital with personality disorder and mental illness, taught aspects of counselling and therapy, supervised those in practice, and been a consultant and adviser to a number of local and national organisations. I have extensive experience in assessment for psychological therapy and in working with a wide range of emotional and personality difficulties. I trained at the Guild of Psychotherapy, have been a member of a gestalt in-service training group for over fifteen years, and I am a member of UKCP. I am Director of Brighton Therapy Centre.

I am not currently taking referrals.

Training & Qualifications

A PhD in psychology.

I trained as a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist at the Guild of Psychotherapists.

I did a one year introduction to group analysis.

More recently I completed the advanced training in Mentalisation Based Therapy.
